I don't normaly copy from other sites but Mandy posted this on H5O site....sorry Lisa I don't see a Victorian cinema here but maybe if you do what Mandy suggests for your local theatre."I'm SO excited! I received an email to say that our cinemas are starting 'Chicks at the Flicks' events and their first film is The Backup Plan! This means I get to see the film at an advanced screening on Wednesday April 28th, instead of having to wait until May 20th. The tickets are $20 each, but you also receive a goody bag valued at (so they say) $50.Now here in Qld the cinemas are Birch Carroll and Coyle, but it's Greater Union cinemas in other states. So, if any Aussies are interested, I would suggest contacting GU and asking about it. I only found out because I'm a member of the Cinebuzz club which means I'm on an emailing list (among other things). For those of you not near a Greater Union theatre, perhaps contacting your local cinema might be worthwhile. They may have the event there. Here's the link. At the far right of the page is a scroll down menu of theatres where the advanced screening MAY be. I'm not sure if it's actually going to be at all the theatres listed:-"http://www.eventcinemas.com.au/chicksattheflicks

Aussie Alex O’Loughlin is ready to catch a wave — and embrace one at the same time. He’s the star of the new fall TV series remake “Hawaii Five-O,” where he’ll play Det. Steve McGarrett. Before he has any sand between his toes, he’s romancing J. Lo in “The Back-up Plan.” Oh, did we mention that he’s one of those guys with commitment issues?
O’Loughlin committed early to a life in film and on TV. He played Det. Kevin Hiatt on “The Shield” and starred in “White Out” with Kate Beckinsale. Most recently, he starred on the series “Three Rivers.”
At age 33, he’s ready for
hunk status — but with a disclaimer: “Just don’t use the word ‘rugged’ in this article,” he asks. “My mates will read this back home and say, ‘Did Alex really use the word rugged to describe himself?’”
Q. Chemistry is such an elusive thing between actors. Did you know early on you had it with J. Lo?
A. I think Jennifer is the queen of romantic comedies. She’s so comfortable and so successful in the genre, so it was a bit intimidating for me at first. But I was trained in drama and went to theater school in Australia. My roots are on the stage, which is where I learned that you just throw yourself into a scene. Jennifer does that incredibly well, so we approached it the same way.
Q. Did she personally hire you to play her main squeeze here?
A. She did want to meet with me early on in the process. In fact, we had a cup of tea at her house in Long Island. I met the entire family. It was cool because we learned that day that we could spend time together and not want to kill each other. That just freed us up. To have a friend and comrade as your co-star is really important. I think it gives you the permission to play.
Q. What is it about Australia that gives us all these masculine actors? Is it something in the water Down Under?
A. Most of my friends are American, so I don’t really see any difference. But the guys I hang out with are from Chicago or New York City. I guess what I’ve learned about male actors is it’s a really American thing to wax your chest to get rid of that unsightly hair. In Australia, my mates would say, “What the hell are you doing with that wax?”
Q. So no skin care specialist or trainer either?
A. On this movie, I was offered a trainer, but I said, “No thank you.” Finally, I took them up on their offer and this guy was really tough on me. I couldn’t eat anything but what he said. I did the disciplined workout regime for this movie because every cheese farmer is ripped and buff. Let me assure you that I’m eating now and all that training is gone.
Q. Give us the skinny on the new “Hawaii Five-O” TV series.
A. I can’t believe I’m allowed to step into Jack [Lord’s’] shoes and play this iconic character. All I can say is this is massive for me. It’s the biggest pilot CBS ever shot and filled with action. If I take my shirt off right now, I look like a beaten piece of meat. Just say that I’ve already been thrown around the entire island of Oahu.
